Lend a Helping Heart
Introducing 1K For KC, a movement formed by the Heart of KC Foundation, to provide housing assistance and hope to families throughout the holiday season. The financial impact of unexpected life changes or loss of income has left many Kansas City families struggling to make ends meet. Having to choose between buying groceries and paying rent means that some are facing the very real threat of homelessness this holiday season. 1K For KC will assist selected families up to $1000 per month for three months starting in December 2022. Payments will be made directly to landlords or mortgage lenders. Our hope is to rally around those in need to provide relief and hope during the holiday season.
